A mugger shoved an 88-year-old woman to the ground and swiped her pocketbook in a broad-daylight attack in Manhattan this week, cops said.
The octogenarian was on West 57th Street near Eighth Avenue in Hell’s Kitchen around 12:50 p.m. Sunday when the stranger came up from behind, pushed her down and grabbed her bag, which held credit cards, her identification, an iPhone, and an unknown amount of cash, according to police.
The victim was taken to Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, with injuries to her leg and face.
The suspect, shown walking nearby in surveillance video released by cops, remained at large Wednesday.
He is between 30 and 35 years old, around 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds. He was last seen carrying a black backpack, and wearing a black jacket, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
