In series premiere news, NBC reality series “Home Sweet Home” was left at the Friday starting gate with a mere 21.7 million viewers and a 0.3 rating/2 share in adults 18-49 (#3t) at 8 p.m. That led into “Dateline” at subpar 2.17 million viewers (#4) and a 0.3/ 2 (#3t) in the demo from 9-11 p.m. Also lacking was ABC’s competing “20/20” (Viewers: #3, 2.69 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.3/ 3 from 9-11 p.m. Maybe it is time for these newsmagazines to be trimmed to one hour.
Elsewhere, CBS was consistent in total viewers but lacking, as usual, in adults 18-49 with its Friday night crime drama sked. Take a look:

Viewers: 5.76 million (#1), A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#2)
Elsewhere, ABC’s “Shark Tank” scored a typical 3.48 million viewers (#3) and a 0.5/ 4 in adults 18-49 (#2t) at 8 p.m. And, once again, The CW was basically off the fast affiliate charts care of “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” (Viewers: 750,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 8 p.m.) and drama “Nancy Drew” (Viewers: 384,000; A18-49: 0.1/ 1 at 9 p.m.).
