Tournament basic:

Date: October 6-17, 2021.

Time: 2 p.m. ET

TV: Tennis Channel

Tournament preview:

With just two games listed on the Indian Wells Masters 2021 schedule, today’s finals will see British Star Cam Norrie take on Georgian player Nikoloz Basilashvili after beating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets yesterday.

However, earlier in the afternoon, rising star Paula Badosa of Spain will be battling 27th seed Victoria Azarenka on the court in the hopes of taking home that trophy.

Cam Norrie insists reaching the Indian Wells final this weekend is only a stepping stone to much greater ambitions as the Brit prepares for what is the biggest match of his career to date.

Aged 26 and with just one title to his name since turning pro, Norrie could arguably be seen as a late developer among Britain’s current crop of greats.

At his age, Andy Murray had won two grand slam titles and an Olympic gold medal. Emma Raducanu won the US Open last month as an 18-year-old.

Six of Norrie’s seven career finals – including Monday’s midnight clash with Nikoloz Basilashvili in California – have come in 2021. And while his sole title triumph was in Mexico back in July, the experienced left-hander is starting to enjoy the success the early days of his career promised would materialize.
