Lando Norris is not just a splendid pilot on the track, he is also a phenomenal gamer on the simulator. While COVID put a halt to the F1 season, Lando spent time on his simulator, racing with his peers. However, this winter he does not foresee much action on the same.
The Briton is flourishing like old wine. Every year he gets better and very soon, he would be a major contender for the title. However, that is not all for his time as he is also engaged with his Esports team, Quadrant. Nonetheless, he admits that this year, before the season, he will be staying with his parents.
Norris presently recovers from COVID after he tested positive in early January. The McLaren pilot is keeping healthy and is supposed to be fit by this week. However, on being asked by RaceNews365 whether he’ll be racing on the sim with Max Verstappen, he could not promise much.
“I asked Max Verstappen during the briefing of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix if he expects him to race a lot on the sim this winter. For me that is not the case, as I will be spending a lot of time with my family.
“I don’t have a sim with my parents and therefore I don’t expect that I will do much sim racing with Max this winter,” remarked the McLaren pilot.

Lando Norris fancies designing helmets
The 21-year-old is one of the most formidable pilots on the grid. It is not just his stint at Abu Dhabi but his entire 2020 season that shocked the paddock. From his 2019 form to the drastic improvement this year, he shocked several pundits on the grid. Following the pattern, he will come out stronger this season.
Lando Norris lines up beside Daniel Ricciardo for 2021. He and Carlos shared an awesome bond and hopefully, Ricciardo can achieve that with him. Although there is a huge age gap between the two, they seem to share good healthy relations. To build on from that would not be tough and it will benefit both of them.
While he spends the last few days of his holidays before he joins back for 2021, Lando let us in on his plan back at his parent’s house. The lad takes a lot of interest in designing helmets for his races and he hopes to be doing the same during this time.
“I expect Bell (his helmet manufacturer, ed.) To send me a few more helmets. I like to make helmet designs, so it’s nice that Bell sends me some helmets,” concluded Lando. He had sported excellent helmets at the 2020 races with one exceptional design from a six-year-old kid named Eva. Well, we hope to see some more this season while he eyes the first win of his F1 career.
