A 21-year-old man died after jumping from the Vessel in Hudson Yards Monday morning, police said — marking the third suicide at New York City’s newest landmark.
Authorities received multiple 911 calls after the man leapt from the Manhattan structure around 11:45 a.m., the source added.
A spokeswoman for the Vessel said the site was temporarily closed early Monday afternoon.
“Our deepest sympathies are with the family of the person who lost his life,” the spokeswoman said.
The man is the second person to jump from the tourist attraction over the last few weeks.
On Dec. 22, a 24-year-old Brooklyn woman leapt to her death from the Vessel and scheduled an emotional Instagram post to go live a day after her suicide.
A 19-year-old former rugby star from New Jersey committed suicide there last February.
