NYC building evacuated over carbon monoxide fears

A Queens residential building was evacuated early Monday over high carbon monoxide readings, according to FDNY officials.

Units responded to the building on 32nd Avenue near 104th Street in North Corona at 6:15 a.m. for a report of an illness, a department spokesman said.

In total, 13 people were evaluated on scene for minor injuries, the spokesman said. No one was taken to the hospital.

The building was being vented following the evacuation, officials said.
