Fast Affiliate Ratings
Total Viewers:
NBC: 13.51 million, CBS: 6.50, Fox: 5.38, ABC: 3.23, CW: 220,000
Adults 18-49:
NBC: 3.9 rating/14 share, Fox: 1.6/10, CBS: 0.7/ 5, ABC: 0.4/ 2, CW: 0.1/ 0
One look at these fast affiliate (translation: time period based) ratings for The CW and you would never know it was a night of original programming. That said, the series premiere of competition series “Legends of the Hidden Temple” opened with a mere 282,000 viewers with a 0.1 rating/0 share in adults 18-49 at 8 p.m. That led into the sophomore season premiere of “Killer Camp” at…gulp!…168,000 viewers and no recorded rating in the demo at 9 p.m. What is there to possibly say?
In an evening of drama season premieres, CBS, as expected, scored a respectable performance in total viewers care of “The Equalizer” and “NCIS: Los Angeles” from 8-10 p.m. (followed by temporary Sunday 10 p.m. occupant “SEAL Team”, which shifts to streamer Paramount+ in midseason). But the results in adults 18-49 only magnifies the Eye net’s lack of interest in the demo. Take a look:
Sunday/CBS
8:00 p.m. “The Equalizer” (season premiere)
Viewers: 7.47 million (#2), A18-49: 0.7/ 4 (#2)
9:00 p.m. “NCIS: Los Angeles” (season premiere)
Viewers: 5.93 million (#2), A18-49: 0.6/ 4 (#2t)
10:00 p.m. “SEAL Team” (season premiere)
Viewers: 3.87 million (#2), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#2)
Earlier in the evening in CBS was granddaddy “60 Minutes” at 9.01 million viewers (#2) and a 1.1/ 7 (#3) in the demo at 7 p.m.
The Buffalo Bills faced the Kansas City Chiefs on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” and the matchup matchup averaged an approximate 16.46 million viewers and a 4.8 rating/30 share in primetime (from 8:30-11 p.m.). Results for any live sporting event, of course, are only estimated (and a tornado outbreak in Oklahoma and storm watches in the Dallas/Fort Worth market means the game might have been preempted — or partially preempted — for storm coverage).
Elsewhere, ABC remains sorely lacking on Sunday again this season. Not even “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” can make a dent. Take a look:
Sunday/ABC
7:00 p.m. “America’s Funniest Home Videos”
Viewers: 3.79 million (#4), A18-49: 0.4/ 3 (#4)
8:00 p.m. “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune”
Viewers: 4.24 million (#3), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#3)
9:00 p.m. “Supermarket Sweep”
Viewers: 2.29 million (#3), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#4)
10:00 p.m. “The Rookie”
Viewers: 2.59 million (#2), A18-49: 0.3/ 2 (#3)
And Fox did not benefit all that much despite the animation block airing out of a primetime football overrun. Take a look:
Sunday/Fox
8:00 p.m. “The Simpsons”
Viewers: 3.75 million (#4), A18-49: 1.2/ 8 (#2)
8:30 p.m. “The Great North”
Viewers: 1.95 million (#4), A18-49: 0.7/ 4 (#2t)
9:00 p.m. “Bob’s Burgers”
Viewers: 1.76 million (#4), A18-49: 0.7/ 4 (#2t)
9:30 p.m. “Family Guy”
Viewers: 1.64 million (#4), A18-49: 0.5/ 3 (#3)
