The Steelers and Seahawks find themselves in somewhat unfamiliar positions ahead of their Week 6 “Sunday Night Football” matchup in Pittsburgh.

Seattle (2-3) finds itself in third place of the NFC West, while Pittsburgh (2-3) is in last place in the AFC North. It doesn’t get any easier for either team, either, considering both have question marks at the quarterback position.

RIVERA: Why Seahawks traded for Jamal Adams

The Steelers at least know what they have with starter Ben Roethlisberger, whose struggles passing the ball this season have contributed to the team’s slow start. He is, however, coming off a game against the Broncos in which he completed 15 of 25 passes (60 percent) for 253 yards and two touchdowns. He also achieved his highest passer rating of the season thus far: 120.9.

The Seahawks may have a tough time adjusting with their new quarterback, as backup Geno Smith takes over for the foreseeable future now that starter Russell Wilson is expected out 4-8 weeks with a finger injury, per reports. Smith played fairly well against the Rams on “Thursday Night Football,” completing 10 of 17 passes (58.8 percent) for 131 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He had the Seahawks in position to take a late lead against the Rams, but an unfortunate interception on the would-be go-ahead drive killed any chance the team had of coming back.
